The only sound device that should be working after it all should be the USB interface device. The error message says that Pro Tools is unable to properly initialize the audio driver of the Focusrite USB 2.0. Also said to uninstall pro tools untill the installation of all external devices was completed then reinstall ProTools and hope for the best. Please check your hardware settings' recording through laptop mic, not audiobox USB 96, Studio one V4.

I had a feeling it may be because Windows 7 has automaticly downloaded drivers for the external usb sound interface device and he didnt actually install it with the supplied software.īasicly the instructions I gave to him for when he got it home was to uninstall every external sound device and plug them in one by one installing them with the supplied software and not to allow windows to download the drivers off the internet. Note that Scarlett Solo is a USB 2.0 device, and thus the USB connection requires a USB 2.0+ compliant port on your computer. He has a very high spec PC (Z79 Motherboard, 3960X i7 CPU, 32GB Ram, GTX560ti GPU etc) and he bought it for the sole purpose of using it for pro tools.
